Dear Soundlounger,
Some great Live Music for you to add to your Fun Diary...
This Friday we bring you Stephen Cummings from the Aussie band of times past, The Sports. Stephen is a prolific writer and performer, with many award-winning releases to his name, and is certainly a big part of the fabric of Australian Rock history. He's a big name! Huge! And he's dropping by Currumbin this Friday, June 20.
Supporting Stephen Cummings this Friday are two of the most wonderful singing sisters ever to be sisters AND singers! We're talking about Scarlett Affection of course! Based in Northern NSW, Melia and Nerida are no strangers to The SoundLounge, having performed a number of shows with us in recent history, and their beautiful double act is both inspiring and soothing for the senses and the soul.
Next week we bring you Two Fantastic Shows over Two Fantastic Days – Thursday's and Friday's will never be the same!
Next Thursday, Jeff Lang returns to Currumbin, for his only Gold Coast show, and he plans to do what he does best - sing his heart out and make merry with his many guitars. Jeff Lang is revered by other Australian performing artists as a father (or an uncle) of contemporary Aussie Roots music, and has been a pillar in the local music industry for years, and his SoundLounge show sees him release his latest album to a Gold Coast audience.
Supporting Jeff Lang next Thursday is Kara Grainger.
Next Friday - look out! - it's Endorphin. Endorphin has been busy of late writing music for TV and keeping up a busy touring schedule, and we're excited and delighted that he's coming back to the Gold Coast. We've tried (but failed) to get him here twice before, but we always win in the end! Next week is your chance to see Endorphin live and loud, in person.
In other news, our new program is taking shape - some of which is available on the website - and further details will be released when they come to hand... Stay Tuned!!
Feeling a bit flat?? Recharge your batteries with some Fantastic Live Original Music at The SoundLounge - we're here to help!!
Have a great week.
Warm regards,
Ben, Rob and
The SoundLounge Team

Stephen Cummings first achived success in Australia as lead singer with 'The Sports', a pop band that had a number of hits in the late 70's including the classic 'Who Listens to Radio?" Never completely comfortable with the rigours of touring with the band, it was not surprising for him to embark on a solo career.
17 albums later, consisting of 13 studio albums, two 'best of compilations', a live disc and an album of accoustic re-workings of his songs and he is still going strong. His fourth album 'A New Kind of Blue' won an ARIA award and his eighth album 'Falling Swinger' was included in Australian Rolling Ston'es list of "100 essential Australian albums".

Bangalow sisters Melia and Nerida Naughton have been joined at the hip since they were womb mates. Spending their (in)formative years in Sydney and then south of Hobart hanging out in a dilapidated apple orchard, stage shows were mandatory in the Naughton family household.
With their delightful debut record 'Our Sweet Ambush' tucked firmly under their arms, Scarlett Affection showcased in the States and Canada last year, a tour made possible by the generous support of the Bangalow community.
Synergy and simpatico are central to the sound of Scarlett Affection. Harmonies and folk pop songs oozing with sass and soul. Affecting ballads that stir the poignant pot of emotion; soaring choruses that hook into your heart; quirky ditties that make you want to dance in the rain – Scarlett Affection have a blazing stage dynamic that throws opens the Pandora-like box of secretive sibling rivalry for everyone to experience.
